Description

Developed by Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT), the Lightning and its supercharged 5.4L V8, have both become iconic. When it was first introduced, it was unheard of to pack so much power into a small and light pickup. This is the second generation, and it was the "Worlds Fastest Production Truck" during its 5 year run. Hearing the unmistakable whine from the supercharger, and the deep exhaust note will give you goosebumps. Mash the accelerator and it puts down very impressive acceleration numbers, thanks to 380hp and 450lb-ft of torque at only 3250rpm's.

There were only 4270 Lightning's produced in 2003, all of them featuring the eye-catching step side body, Eaton blower with an intercooler, forged internals, and a heavy duty 4 speed transmission that was considered to be Fords best at the time. They also have a 3.5" aluminum driveshaft and 3.55:1 gearing, helping to propel the truck like a rocket ship.

This example, with just 89,500kms, is finished in black and the interior is in excellent condition. It is hard to find something that will make you smile as quickly as driving a Lightning.
